Trader P/L 2006 Questions and Discussion

Quote from jtnet:

well before the market opened you could see on the chart CSCO was already coming down, so it had some kind of momentum to the short side. and there was no after hours gaps, all trades that made it rise in price.

yeah but what are the odds...jesus xrist all 10% gaps have been heavely bot in the mornin', no matter if there was some fadin'..ceco has been faded hard near the open, yet took off like a missile, same for all mindblowin' reports. this is a first for the qt.

I'm not one to try and predict where the market is headed more than 20 or 30 mins out, but could this sort of price action signal a change in overall market trend?

i am not sure, cant predict meself. thot about it since it is probable funds were dumpin' their holdin', takin' the opportunity to cash in the ride csco had for a yr. could be the beginnin' of somethin'.

well yeah, at the open the game was up. tough cookie to get out longs tho, with hidden orders goin' off 1% below mkt. i froze when i was stuck with my shares and had to offer much lower.

Hello David Liu,

I'm pretty impressed for your performance and dollar profits. Can you tell a few things: 1. Your buying power now; 2. Dollar risk per position or your type of position management; 3. How long you have been trading; 4. Retail day trader or other type; 5. Annual returns vs your trading capital (not buying power); 6. Your trading style (breakout, momentum, intuitive, discretionary, systematic, scalping, minutes-to-hours, or whatever you want to define); and 7. Anything you would like to say or comment. If you feel some question are too personal or answering them will reveal your well-kept trading secrets, please just ignore them. Thanks a lot.

Happy holidays,

since it was the last day to trade LU in the history of this great trading stock, I felt it right to post my last day of profit. All in all LU was a good stock to me, but I look forward to putting time into the next group of stocks to trade.
farewell LU, you have paid well for me................

14.8 million shares traded today on it for me
8.2 million on arca for another 16K in profit

Hi,
Just wondering how you are able to trade so many shares of such a low priced stock that hardly moves and not get eaten up by the commissions. Could you tell me approximately how your commission structure works?
Thanks

Ticket charges. The only way to make money trading that style is to pay a low flat rate per trade and do huge size. How does a 100,000 share order for $1 sound to ya?
