I will have to agree with you that there are cases where justice is not done.
However this being said.... the huge majority of shootings by police are completely justified and actually include video evidence (in recent years) that demonstrate the officers took the correct action.
You kind of jumped on my post without reading what I was answering.
GWB claimed that if 99% of cases of Black man getting shot by police had no convictions then 99% of the time they were valid. We know this to not be true with quick review of many recent cases.
I knew precisely who you were answering and what you were responding to. I was agreeing with your premise.

yeah and the implication was not the opposite that all were due to excessive force/racist corruption. I was just shocked that seeing 99% someone thought that must mean they are all valid haha.
With as much scrutiny as cops are under today with the widespread use of call phone video plus body cam cameras on the cops -- are you trying to claim that a significant percentage of fatal shootings by officers are somehow excessive. I think the huge majority today are legitimate (probably approaching 99%) and that bad cops are more readily identified & arrested.
The problem is the bad actors within a police force are protected by the blue wall and do not get properly removed from police forces even after many incidents of poor behavior. Down the road their poor behavior escalates to a fatal situation when they should have been removed from the force years earlier. As public servants that "protect and service" , the most important trait for a cop is "integrity". when they lose this then they lose the public trust.
We are not syaing that every shooting of a Black person is illegal and the cop should be thrown in jail and is unjustified. Your initial claim is that with 99% number than they are ALL justified. Problem is there are not always witnesses with cell phones (where were the witnesses for Freddie Gray....Sandra Bland...).
What happened before cell phones and body armour? You think Blacks getting shot and killed is something new? Can you say Emmit Till?
All we can say is there is a number of Black citizens getting killed for misdemeanor offenses or being killed innocently and that is unacceptable and at a higher rate than others.
Just list all the times Black people have 911 being called on them for being in the place where they live, work, or play or following the rules.
To say that it is not happening becuase of body armour and cell phones is turning a blind eye. Also you are implying that any resistance or exercising rights is an excuse to get shot.
I am driving and a cop pulls me over and tells me my headlight is out and to get out of the car and let them search it FUCK YOU. You guys bitch about "MY RIGHTS" when asked to put a mask on and now COPS can ignore the constitution as well? FUCK THAT SHIT.
Sandra Bland was pulled over and the cop told her to put out her cigarette, she said she is in her car and then he tasers her and pulls her out and she is dead in her prison cell? Sorry but the cops are not Gods and they have to follow the law. What law did she violate to warrant being tazed and dragged out of her car. It was on camera...did anything happen? Cop was cleared of any charges, not saying he killed her but his actions were excessive and he got off. We coudl list these all day.
Cops are piss poor trained on criminal procedure and arrest conditions and abuse that power daily. it just does not happen to you so you ignore it with statistics.
I have had too many Black friends told to move it along sitting on my stoop waiting for me to come out from my apartment from cops. Why?
A significant % of cops are good and doing a great job but if you have 1000 cops and 10 are bad and the other 990 don't do shit about it then you have 1000 bad cops.
There is not justification for looting and vandalism, but the anger in the protests themselves is understandable because when Collin kneels you tell him that is not appropriate way to protest. When Lebron wears a t-shirt he is told not appropriate. When an actor tweets something, you tell him to shut the fuck up and stay in his lane. Then George is killed and marching down the streets is inappropriate.
As long as as you protest the way Massah says you could....
