Dude, they're calling land-lines and the web-based polls have no ability to keep 10 yo's out. Not to mention VPN bots that can respond with 10's of thousands of different IP addresses to the same survey.

Tony, you do realize that many people who vote in midterms vote not based on anything that has to do with the president, but what their eyes are focused on in their local communities? Folks vote for the changes they want to see in their local district. If the changes they want to see happen to coincide with the other side of the aisle, then so be it?
I think congressional elections and the presidency are kinda' separate in that sense.
For example, if I did not like Trump, and I am a Republican, I would not check off all the democrat candidates in my state in the midterm just to try to counter the guy. I'd simply vote for the state's issues.
Of course, there are many many folks out there who would do exactly that. Just "try to tilt" the ballots in their favor or whatever. But all this polling shit doesn't matter. What matters are the levers they pull, or boxes they check, at the voting booths during the primary/BIG ONE.

Popular vote serves a purpose to show how overall population feels. It is very sad that more and more we live in the world where minority tells majority how to live.
Mayor,city council,state senator,governor etc races are more for local issues than House and US Senate races
Its a matter of not wanting to be ruled by NYC, Chicago, Detroit, San Fransisco, Los Angeles etc. They seem unable to even run their own cities much less make rational decisions for the whole country.
