of course there is, it just does not directly affect EC unfortunately. Yes it is a rule of the land.
I thought the EC was the rule of the land, which is exactly why "popular votes" don't count when it comes to who wins?

Not following your logic here I'm afraid.
If the system is setup to run under EC rules then there is effectively no popular vote as it does not decide anything.
Dems should feel free to pursue their "popular vote" strategy but it might make more sense to work the system under its actual rules.
The President seems to think winning the popular vote but losing the EC is a sham and travesty of justice...so...
The real issue here is that there is no way a pre commies like bernie and warren will win the election.
The polls that claim pre-commies like sanders and warren are leading trump are as slanted as the polls which had hillary up by 10 or more throughout virtually the entire polling season except for the last 3 weeks. Which is when they unskewed and started to use legitimate democrat samples sizes.
If Biden's corruption is not exposed... Biden could beat Trump.
Clinton may be able to beat Trump.
but Sanders and Warren... cmon nobody could believe those polls are not heavily manipulated.
So the problem with Tony is he pretends the polls worked because Clinton won the popular vote.
The polls were not accurate because until about 3 weeks before the election they were using skewed samples and were giving hillary massive leads sometimes 2 digit leads.
When the polls unskewed in the last 3 weeks... most pundits and individuals failed to comprehend the race was inside the margin of error.
Luckily we here at ET had the jemalgo which showed that the race was in the margin of error with Clinton having slight lead in the popular vote. the algo cited 538s explanation showing Trump could lose the popular vote and still win because Clintons voters were clumped.

You know that algo told us the correct samples for the romney-obama vote... were the previous 2 election results...
which also turned out to be correct.
there was a post about my enjoying the future romney victory... but that was not about the polls and proper sample sizes that was more of a bit of banter
