I think that if Bernie does not win, the penalty will be much worse for the dems than just having to deal with Bernie voters not showing up to vote for a dnc dud. If Bernie does not get the nomination they will actively work to trash the dud nominee openly, viciously, and continuously for months. Instead of encouraging people to vote so that Trump will not win, they will be shaming them for voting in a corrupt system and giving them reasons to not vote. Think 1968. These intramural team games can get very vicious.

It is about Bernie, but it is also more than about just Bernie. This is the second major election where the progressives have had to fight tooth and nail to keep from being cheated and treated like lepers by the DNC. The strategists among them know that having Trump re-elected will only energize their cause in 2024. As I have said many times, Joe has the lead (even that is questionable) only because the progressive vote is divided. But, the progressive block is bigger than the biden block. They are not going away quietly this time- and they really did not last time. Bernie supporters chanting "lock her up" to Hillary was not a good sign. Gonna be worse this time, much worse. Also bad and bloody and crazy is if Bernie does get the nomination.

What a mess. And if Hillary wants to put her pant suit on and parachute in at the last minute, then beautiful, that would be my idea of skeet shooting.

Yeh, couple more weeks and it will be the only way she could do it. More and more filing dates for primaries are passing every day now.

The progressives hate Hillary bigtime too so if she is thinking the super delegates are going to outweigh the progressive block which has lots of delegates and hates her guts, well then, sign me up to watch that too. I am a flexible kind of guy. As long as I am seeing some kind of blood at the convention I am happy. It helps Trump too to have them cannibalizing each other in some or all ways.

Dems really need to fuck up to loose this election.

Yet Dems won The House by 10 million votes ,23 of 33 Senate races and The Gop lost 2 Governors races Trump campaigned heavily for in Louisiana and Kentucky just a few weeks ago.
