Through the Looking Glass

Quote from ammo:

Some traits that you can change .. a big one ..attititude...this is going to sound religious because i'm using part of the "Our Father",but it's really common sense...forgive me my tresspasses as i forgive those who tresspass against me"...we can't get rid of all of our bias's but the ones towards ourselves and others we can ,with a little practice, ...start by forgiving all those around you on a daily basis, realize that they will continue to make mistakes and let it go, this will make it easier for you to forgive and except your mistakes and concentrate on progress, help get you out of neutral....accept yourself as ok with all your faults and attributes...we all have a lot of both...you'll do fine...good week by the way

Forgiveness, accepting faults, and letting go were a big part of what changed.

I figured you either blew up - or got it

Sounds like you did a little of the first and a lot of the second

You may make a trader after all – my friend… :)

btw; Personally numbers don’t impress me – any idiot can win a lottery

It is the process behind the numbers that burns eternal in my heart…

Thanks man, the difference has been night and day. And your contributions here always provided justification enough for having started this journal.

Can't believe it's been almost exactly one year since my last post on this thread.

Update: I didn't bottom out mentally until September of last year. From October thru May I maintained a good streak of consistent months, and July managed to eke out a monthly best.

But this week was a nominal breakthrough.

+130k on 730k shares traded, 2k shares max per position.

+22, +20, +10, +26, +51

A definite outlier due to the general headline volatility, combined with some lucky positioning from the week prior (almost 40k was from a single stock held with 0 shares traded). I'm not expecting anything close to these numbers again without a big increase in size/bp/risk. But still feels good to finally see the intraday + positional trading coming together.
