Our lives aren't considered equal. We humans place different values on lives. Our family's lives are more valued than our friends; our friends more valued than a typical citizen; a typical citizens more so than criminals, thugs, etc.

Assuming it's true that the number of Black on Black murders is greater than the number of Blacks killed by police; I submit that the number of 'innocent' Blacks killed by Blacks is less than the number of Blacks killed by police. This is, imo, inter alia, why the focus is on police killings.

ACLU is not wrong for specializing and focus where they've chosen to do good in the world; and no one can judge them and tell then that they should be doing more good than they're doing, unless you are in that organization, being part of the solution.

New York City woman slams looters for wrecking small business: 'You needed money? Get a job!'

In a heartbreaking video posted on social media, an elderly woman in New York City lashes out in a message to the looters who destroyed a small business.


“Look what you did to my store. Look!” she says, pointing behind her at an exposed storefront with wires hanging from the ceiling and people cleaning up inside.

She was among countless other people left to deal with the aftermath of damaged property, lost jobs and uncertain futures as a wave of riots and looting continued sweeping across the U.S. following the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis on May 25.

The woman in the video then walks over to a pile of debris at the curb in front of the store.

Meanwhile, the city’s mayor and New York’s governor appear to have stepped up their long-running feud in an apparent bid to assign blame.



Gov. Andrew Cuomo called Mayor Bill de Blasio’s response to the crisis a “disgrace” Tuesday, after police said they arrested about 700 protesters overnight following the first curfew in decades, which began at 11 p.m. Monday.

De Blasio has also faced criticism for seemingly contradictory policies that have imposed limits on religious gatherings while looters run wild in the streets.

Minnesota newspaper lists over 360 local businesses destroyed by riots

Minnesota’s Star Tribune newspaper published a list of over 360 businesses across the Twin Cities that have been “vandalized, looted or had doors and windows smashed” in the wake of violent protest over the tragic death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody.

“Some have been reduced to rubble, and at least 66 have been destroyed completely by fire. Others have reported extensive water damage or severe fire damage,” the paper’s staff wrote.

The staggering list will continually update as the Star Tribune learns about additional businesses, and includes maps pinpointing exactly where each business is located. It includes everything from local small businesses that were destroyed to major retails chains such as Target. It specifies the damage to each business, noting everything from smashed windows to buildings completely destroyed by fire.

“While this is an incomplete list, businesses along a 5-mile stretch of Lake Street in Minneapolis and a 1-mile stretch of University Avenue in St. Paul's Midway area have experienced some of the heaviest damage, especially those nearest Minneapolis' Third and Fifth police precincts,” the paper wrote. “As protests spread across the metro, many larger companies with multiple locations have temporarily or indefinitely closed, including several CVS and 24 Target locations.”

The catalog of damage includes over 60 businesses that were destroyed altogether, while others have been looted and defaced with graffiti. The paper notes a local liquor store is closed “indefinitely” because of significant property damage, while a looter “tried to drive [a] car through” a local hardware store.
