Show me where I'm saying we should ignore them. Root out and prosecute bad cops to the fullest extent. Throw this most recent guy in jail and keep him there. Arrest and do the same with his three associates in committing this murder. Punish those who are actally committing the crimes. Burning down your community business isn't going to solve this. When it comes to black men who are suggested as innocent being murdered (by police), you might have a valid comparison if you were concerned about blacks who are killed every day in violence by other blacks. The whole joke of "Black Lives Matter" is that it doesn't give a shit about black lives when other blacks kill blacks. Only when cops do.

I would think we all should care about black lives being murdered. We should care about all lives being lost. Equally. That is, after all, what not being racist is about, right? Or is it only "not racist" when we just care about black lives being killed by cops? Is it "not racist" when we don't care when asians or hispanics or whites are killed by cops?

Our lives aren't considered equal. We humans place different values on lives. Our family's lives are more valued than our friends; our friends more valued than a typical citizen; a typical citizens more so than criminals, thugs, etc.
Assuming it's true that the number of Black on Black murders is greater than the number of Blacks killed by police; I submit that the number of 'innocent' Blacks killed by Blacks is less than the number of Blacks killed by police. This is, imo, inter alia, why the focus is on police killings.
The ACLU doesn't focus on these killings because that's not what they've chosen to do. There are a billion problems in the world, and no one organization can bite off more than it can chew.
ACLU is not wrong for specializing and focus where they've chosen to do good in the world; and no one can judge them and tell then that they should be doing more good than they're doing, unless you are in that organization, being part of the solution.
The name BLM doesn't mean that they investigate all manner of a Black person's life, to make sure it always matters. They aren't investigating whether Blacks are dying at a higher rate than whites in workplace accidents. They're leaving that to OSHA and shop stewards.
You don't get to decide what they should and shouldn't be doing; you don't work there, just like you don't work at ACLU, as you said above.
Rather than these regular citizens getting involved with trying to identify which gang banger killed which other gang banger; they leave that job those paid to do it: the police. These workers live in the same neighborhoods as the gang bangers. They have families. They won't turn themselves into a snitching organization.
Surely you can understand this logic.
This is not a racism issue; it's one of common sense and survival.
Finally, while the police will investigate, and lock up gang bangers for killing each other; they are less likely to lock up one of their own for doing the same; or for killing an innocent. As we all know.
