I'm not sure he could have starting shooting them before they attacked or threatened him.Technically they were shoplifting it wasn't robbery or arm robbery.The event takes place in Texas so he might have gotten away with it but in most states clerks wont get away with shooting someone for shoplifting

Well, liberal wealthy people favor interracial relationships, but not for themselves... that's for all those other lowly white people. They say that they are "antiracist" but their actions tell a different story. Whenever minorities start moving into their neighborhoods, they immediately vacate it, lights out. The wealthy ones who live in the city spend fortunes sending their children to nearly all white private schools so they don't end up with all the minorities in the shitty public schools, which were wrecked because they lobbied to have all the minorities bused into them.

It became robbery after the clerk was assaulted.The clerk wasn't assaulted until he voluntarily put himself in the middle of the mob and tried to stop them.Before the clerk put himself in the middle of the mob and got his ass beat it was shoplifting

Wow I read thru all those post in the thread...waiting for Artful D0dger to make the argument that "Right of Contract" was needed in order to prevent that sort of occurrence. Maybe he just got too busy arguing back and forth and just did not get to it yet?

Those sort of incidents happened all the time in Detroit where I grew up. Usually the clerks did not leave from behind the thick bullet proof glass, so they were seldom beaten senseless, so the stories were not nearly as dramatic, but there had been a few exceptions. In those admittedly rare cases where the clerks or store owners tried to stop them, the mobs would beat the shit out of those who got in their way, including other black people. They just did not give a shit and there was absolutely no racial solidarity.

I used to pass a convience store/gas station when I was a kid, where there was a 12 gauge shotgun right in plain view behind the safety glass with the clerk. For some strange reason that place was never robbed, by mobs or anyone esle.
