Have you guys ever read the scripture and what Jesus said? 'My kingdom is not of this world', 'What you do for the least of us', 'Rich cannot enter heaven'.

Try reading what Jesus said instead of listening to evangelical and university scammer's version of it.

There is no fence or wall around my property or most homes in Toronto. My healthcare costs in a year probably are roughly what you pay in a month. I don't need to carry a weapon to feel safe walking the streets at night in 95% of the neighborhoods in my city. Yet Toronto is not really a dissimilar economy and populace to where you live. Let that sink in for a bit. How did these differences develop and why can't Americans solve their problems ? Just seems to me to be endless debate and vicious polarizing politics blocking any progress. You guys sit on your social issues for decades and blame the "other side" for them.

Canada isn't perfect but it's a working example and posters have to stop talking about Venezuela like it's a normal example of anything other then a corrupt, facist regime.

The thing about the wall as Trump describes it is everything I heard is it's impossible to build a complete wall because of the geography of the border. Even if you could build it, there remains a fairly open border with Canada. Who on earth would build a fence on the one side of their house and leave just a lawn on the other side ? What kind of extra security are you getting, unless one agrees that a "wall less" border with decent human controls and normal immigration controls works just fine ? So why the wall in the first place, other then as a piece of propaganda giving the illusion of better border control ?
 
The law has the same issue. People still commit crimes.

However, I dispute your idea that fences do little. From the Berlin wall to the fences around power plants and forts... barriers/ walls can be highly effective.

Safes in banks are walls which open.

By law I am required to have a fence around my property because I have pool.

I think you are confusing life in America with life in Democrat / urban areas.
Most of America's Suburbs are far different places.
When you move to good schools, you also get people who work and have a different ethic about them... regardless of color.

I don't carry, never have.
The only people I know who carry are a judges and law enforcement guys.

Many of my neighbors leave their homes unlocked.
I don't because of the habit I got in living at the beach.

Our health care costs are ridiculous because we allow money in our politics and both side are owned by the cronies in D.C.

Canada has great people... I have friends from Canada. I believe your longer winters would be a problem for me. I moved to warm weather parts of the country for a reason. I need a relatively large amount of sunshine and exercise. I also need to see the ocean once or twice a week.
