The VERY best trader on ET that uses TA

Since you are applying a mathematical equation to a pool of sampled data, does statistical analysis = TA enough to muddy the water ? A stochastic or a moving average are easily defined equations...
 
Statistical analysis is a form of technical analysis.
And the much jumped on bandwagon of 'price action' is also technical analysis

Technical analysis began with price action, and both have been around for several centuries, so I don't know that I'd call an interest in either "jumping on the bandwagon" so much as a rediscovery.
 
Technical chart reading is about picking out the clues of what you are observing. I remember when "CHARTS" were Zoo Doo and users were simply called chartists. Dig inside that word and you will find the word "ART", that explains it all.
