Consumer confidence figures cratered for the second month in a row despite definitive signals of strength in the economy. Federal Reserve Governor, Janet Yellen, reiterated that a recovery has begun but hedged her optimism by stating it may be a long, drawn out process. The negative confidence numbers combined with a mixed plate of earning reports resulted in the DJIA falling back 11.79, the Nasdaq eased higher by 7.62, and the S&P 500 gave back 2.56.

Now that Twitter is going to be on Xbox, I thought that would be great entertainment to read Surf on a gaming consol.

Your last Twit:

"Unfortunately, due to a string of extraordinarily* negative luck** capped by the GS short trade, we are closing up shop
6:01 AM Jul 16th from web"

Come on Surf, I want to read your journal while playing!!

**luck is a four letter word in trading

I disagree. While method and strategy will keep you in the game, perhaps allowing you to grind out a living unless you start with substantial funds. LUCK has everything to do with massive success for future traders without a true edge--- strategy and method are not edge---RANDOMNESS and LUCK are the forces that must be active to succeed, you can survive without them, but they are what differeraniates every trader without a true knowledge/structure edge. face it, noise traders are gamblers and the ones who survive have money managment nailed. ones who succeed have LUCK on their side.

I agree, but that was my whole point. A trader shouldn't rely on luck, he should have a real edge instead.

A trader using luck only is a gambler... You gambled on your last trade (there was no edge, extra information) and you lost. Not to mention the bad money management, because you overextended yourself with that trade....
