That makes for a fairly limited diet, and suggests a lifestyle of feast or famine. But, hey, fasting is good for the system and it builds character.Quote from marketsurfer:

It has been only 5 trading days since the final entry into the YM short--- B/E 13174 about 100 fast points from here. as the daytraders and market divine order gurus breathlessly call out their fractional gains/losses continually lubricate the market mechanism by the vig; realizing that exact timing is impossible, with any consistency, the surf report readers are sitting back, awaiting the market to play out as the tried and true analysis indicates. As an aside, if you really don't believe that you have the timing thing down, then what makes you think you can call the "whales?" How can a recognition of one's limitations justify going all out? It is precisely because my own market timing is at best limited that I don't make it a habit of going for the big swings. People with poor night vision would be well advised not to run fast in the dark.
LOL, the market is moving over 200 pts against your position and you're still underwater after entering this ill-concieved trade over five days ago (point-in-fact, the trade has never been in the green).Quote from marketsurfer:

IMO, you've got in backwards T-Dog.
The less skilled/edgeless trader SHOULD go for home runs. The same way I'd look for the chance to go all in against a more formidable poker opponent. A mediocre quarterback has a better chance of hitting a bomb or two than grinding it out.
IMO many traders, "pro's" in fact, lose their money by not optimizing the few good calls that most EVERYONE is capable of making.
Yes I believe in random results ect. but I'm also cognizant that opportunities aren't just dealt out of a vacuum.....
Thanks for the commentary PP, I agree with you 100%, but my question for you (and anyone else) is this.Quote from Pa(b)st Prime:
