Correct. Now as the accountant, because of the ambiguity of the position (and the obvious lie about the March price) I will treat it as the Dec short would be still open. (this is actually favorable for Surf by 90 points)

Unless Surf clarifies, I will close it for him on Friday 4:15 pm. Position is currently about -40....

i see the inspector geezers and trading voyeurs are out in force today. they will take particular delight in my very poor call this morning, and impending potential fat loss on this trade. the range has just been incredible in the DJIA, daytraders must be having a blast. continuing to hold here.

regards,

surf

I am new to this forum... I would I get more information on your system?

hello and welcome,

start at page one of this journal, you will witness the system being traded in most all possible market conditions, plus it's explained in detail multiple times. you will see the evolution of my market ideas and tactics as they occured. winning some, losing others, its a good read!

please note, not all trades are system based, the very poor current trade ( thus far ) is not based on the system-- plus much experimentation takes place with strategies, et al.. i endeavour to make this distinction each time.

best wishes,

surf

I take absolutely no delight in your poor calls. I never refer to them for their own sake. However, I do have a strong aversion to what appears to be bullshit. It is because of the robust fragrance of your last few posts that I asked for clarification. Do you plan on providing such clarification for your journal readers?

I think to be fair you have to treat it as two trades. The DEC contract was opened and closed for a loss. Now there is a new MARCH short at whatever price it was rolled into. The DEC was a loss and it is now a closed position.

But as much as you ask you will never get the accurate close price (DEC) and open price (MAR) so you can only guess at the numbers sadly.

There is really nothing to roll into. Only thing that can be reasonably count as rollover is the amount of gain or loss from DEC contract carry forward. I think you can carry your loss forward in certain case but not your gain.

This is gonna be my summary for a while, because really, what's the point? Surf, your credibility is going to zero as the year comes to an end. I thought your last closing trade 90 minutes after the "fact" was pretty fishy, when you had time to post about bullshit, but not about the trade.
But this latest rollover bullcrap takes the cake. My machine broke immediatelly as I read it...

OK, possible variations, dear reader choose which one you like:

1. Surf doesn't trade. In this case it really doesn't matter what entry and exit prices are posted. Enjoy the entertainment value....

2. Surf still holds the Dec contract. (Then why did he say that he rolled over? Probably to have more time to get the trade into money...) At one point today the position was UP by 70 points, so there was plenty of time to put a stop loss at breakeven. Still, the position is down only by -70.

3. Surf did roll over but made a "typo". (I think he already used up this excuse for the year.) In this case we don't really know the new shorting price (or the loss of the old position), because the posted price hasn't been touched yet.

Anyway, I think this thread needs more pictures of Annaland in scampy clothes than "trading".

At least it would add more substance to this thread.
