The suddenly relevant debate about whether a president can be prosecuted, explained

Ok...
On what basis did he make that statement.

He may be correct...
But, I prefer to listen to or review the controlling authority on the subject.

P.S.

Once again you get it wrong. You seem to always err on the leftist side.

Even CNN says you are fake news...
looks like we will have to wait for confirmation from an authority about the nature and scope of the investigation.

(CNN)Sen. Lindsey Graham said Thursday he believes the Justice Department's Russia probe is "now considered a criminal investigation," comments he made following the all-senators' briefing with deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

The South Carolina Republican said he wasn't able to ask specifically if it was now a criminal probe "but the takeaway have is everything he said was that you need to treat this investigation as if it may a criminal investigation".

Yesterday Lindsey Graham said that this is now a criminal investigation.

Why don't you watch the full video instead of the 45 second clip and find it out for yourself.

And Lindsey Graham DID say that - it was his CONCLUSION, did CNN put those words in his mouth?

It's hilarious how you are willing to interpret so much from an out of context quote but do the opposite when it doesn't suit your agenda. Did Lindsey Graham did or did not say that HIS TAKEAWAY was that it's criminal? Yes or No.

I did drone... in summary he said it was counter intelligence and he thinks it now may be criminal but he never got to confirm that with a question.

words matter....
there is a big difference between lindsay graham said it was a criminal investigation vs... he thinks it may now be a criminal investigation.

Further confirmation from another Republican Senator that it's criminal

He did, he concluded it was a criminal investigation after the Rosenstein meeting - whether he didn't ask specifically or not - NO ONE forced him to conclude the way he did and then say 'TREAT IT AS CRIMINAL'

Susan Collins has confirmed it's criminal, read the third paragraph.

'whether or not violations of criminal law'

Now tell me that's not a criminal investigation.

Checkmate.

Graham said that it appears to be a criminal investigation. He later cleaned up his comment by saying that he felt it would be treated with the same due diligence of a criminal investigation. Whatever he said, this was his own interpretation, and likely the interpretation of others in the room. All that said, unless Mueller himself deems it to be a criminal investigation, it's all just a matter of opinion. Since these yet to be validated charges are in deed a serious matter I would consider treating them with all the due consideration, criminal or otherwise to be a good thing, but the man in charge hasn't labeled it anything yet, so let your bias run amuck if you choose.

Sure, but what about Collins' statement then? Was it my bias to read the third paragraph that clearly laid out that it's a criminal investigation? You could say it's my bias if I was misquoting an out of context statement, Graham chose to use 'criminal investigation' of his own record and then another Republican confirmed it.

like that was my point. you are so full of crap.
