That study find (positive association) true. But (association) is NOT proof of (cause) Association is like correlation. It could be many things like the chemicals in the process meat, and what the cow eat to make the beef, what chemical is in the cow feed, what hormones they give the cow...
No proof of cause.

Recommendation 5: Animal Foods

Limit intake of red meat and avoid processed meat

Personal Recommendations:
People who eat red meat to consume less than 500 g
(18 oz) a week, very little if any to be processed.

Evidence
The evidence that red meat, and particularly processed
meat, is a cause of colorectal cancer is stronger now
than it was in the mid-1990s.
