P.S. killthesunshine, YOU are more likely to have a heart attack if you SEE a coconut or beef, not eat it, because they make YOU stress.

Quote from trendlover:
Hmm, you scrolled down to the factors (for) heart disease?
I did not see BEEF on there.and not did not see the saturated fat.

You pointed to a "popular" website, i did best I could to extract the valid info![]()
Is the author of that website aware that the fat content of vast majority of vegetables is POLY?
Certainly not SAT! haha
Quote from trendlover:
The focus in USA is to take away the saturated fat, and replace with (polyunsaturated) vegetable oil. Ok? They say this is better and more healthy for the heart. This vegetable oil is process with partial hydrogenation...it become the (trans fat)
So she is saying this is what is not proven in the (association study) to REDUCE heart attack.
She say polyunsaturated fat have no (association) with reduce of heart attack.

Maybe she hasn't seen this study i posted this thread a few days ago?
American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Vol. 87, No. 1, 168-174, January 2008
Results: For every 10-g/d increase in saturated fat intake, IMT was
0.03 mm higher (P = 0.01) after multivariate adjustment. A 1-g/d
higher intake of trans fat was associated with a 0.03-mm higher IMT (P
= 0.02) after multivariate adjustment. The ratio of POLYUNSATURATED to
saturated fat (P:S) was inversely associated with IMT after
multivariate adjustment (change in IMT: â0.06 mm; P < 0.01). SATURATED
and trans fat intakes were independently associated with IMT thickness
(change in IMT: 0.03 mm; P < 0.01 and 0.02, respectively; P for
interaction = 0.01). Polyunsaturated, monounsaturated, cholesterol,
and total fat intakes were unrelated to IMT.
Oil is not food or a food group anyway.
It's a condiment or an additive.
I never add oil from ANY source, the little i do get is from the little processed products i do consume.
Regardless,
GIVE BEEF THE BOOT!![]()

Hmm, she did not see your study killthesunshine?![]()
All her research is to show those study flaws.
If you do not eat any fat for years and years and years, then you start to feel no healthy, will you eat the hamburger?![]()
Ok, hope you feel good! No more arguing with you.
