The Science Is Settled

RFK Jr.’s vaccine villainy

Ask Robert F. Kennedy Jr. about climate change and he’ll tell you that no one should even question the overwhelming scientific consensus.

Ask about vaccinations, and he’ll tell you that the scientific consensus and “sock puppet” federal agencies are conspiring with drug-makers to cover up a dangerous threat.

That’s just what he told a rally this week at the New Jersey Statehouse. The target: a bill to require parents to provide an explanation when they ask to opt out of mandatory vaccinations for their kids.

RFK Jr. has long been a national spokesman for the Looney Tunes brigade on vaccinations — spewing junk-science paranoia at a time when nearly eradicated childhood diseases like measles and whooping cough are re-emerging, thanks to anti-science hysteria.

What Democrat will pass up a chance to be seen with the bearer of such a potent political name? Kennedy used that star power this month to help defeat an Oregon bill to tighten vaccine exemptions.

Backed by such science heavyweights as actress Jenny McCarthy, Kennedy claims a vast government conspiracy is responsible for kids being injected with thimerosal, which he says causes autism.

Yet the scientific consensus is far more solid here than on climate change: Thimerasol does not cause autism or any other disorder. Indeed, it was removed from pediatric vaccines 14 years ago, yet autism rates continue to rise.

The real threat to kids isn’t some imaginared conspiracy, but Robert Kennedy’s promotion of dangerous pseudo-science — and the politicians who take him seriously.

Today i watched an old episode of bill mahers show on hbo(Im a glutton for punishment) and he literally tried to defend the anti vaccine movement by saying something along the lines of "Well its not like the science on vaccines is settled, I mean its not like global warming where we can prove it" He promptly got corrected by all the lefties on his panel. I almost spit coffee on my tv i was laughing so hard when i heard that.

My dad has a gimped leg from polio, he got it when he was 7, the vaccine was created when he was 10, hes lucky he didnt die, he had to go through tons of surgeries to try to slow down the growth in his good leg so that he wouldnt have 1 leg 5 inches longer than the other, They stapled his good leg together from his femur down to his calf, with an iron rod, and he spent a couple years of his life in the hospital when he was a kid because of all the complications from the virus and the surgeries.

These anti vaccers are so fucking moronic i want to punch one of them in the face, anyone who would willfully expose themselves to measles or polio is a fucking idiot, my dad would have done anything to have a functional leg, and be able to ski or walk the golf course, or skate with me when I was growing up, he never had the option.

I think the problem is that we have beaten these viruses long enough now where people no longer remember the pain that came with them. Watch how quickly they would jump in line to be vaccinated if one of those viruses made a comeback. Anyone who denies the validity of vaccines is a fucking moron, especially the ones who choose not to vaccinate against measles or polio, or other horrendous viruses, If you dont want to get flu shots every year, thats understandable, but if you dont want to vaccinate against brutal shit like polio or measles you deserve the worst.

There are lawsuits proceeding right now against Merck and their measles vaccine. And contrary to the article that says the science behind it is from Jenny Mccarthy, the truth is far different.

"The first court case, United States v. Merck & Co., stems from claims by two former Merck scientists that Merck "fraudulently misled the government and omitted, concealed, and adulterated material information regarding the efficacy of its mumps vaccine in violation of the FCA [False Claims Act]."

According to the whistleblowers' court documents, Merck's misconduct was far-ranging: It "failed to disclose that its mumps vaccine was not as effective as Merck represented, (ii) used improper testing techniques, (iii) manipulated testing methodology, (iv) abandoned undesirable test results, (v) falsified test data, (vi) failed to adequately investigate and report the diminished efficacy of its mumps vaccine, (vii) falsely verified that each manufacturing lot of mumps vaccine would be as effective as identified in the labeling, (viii) falsely certified the accuracy of applications filed with the FDA, (ix) falsely certified compliance with the terms of the CDC purchase contract, (x) engaged in the fraud and concealment describe herein for the purpose of illegally monopolizing the U.S. market for mumps vaccine, (xi) mislabeled, misbranded, and falsely certified its mumps vaccine, and (xii) engaged in the other acts described herein to conceal the diminished efficacy of the vaccine the government was purchasing.""

There are other lawsuits, too.

The issue with me is not whether vaccines are good or bad. The issue is whether the gov't should usurp the right of parents in making medical decisions for their children.

The gov't told us that you could keep your insurance with obamacare. They said you could keep your doctor with obamacare. They said your cost would probably be reduced for health insurance by about 2500 dollars.

And now their proponents pretend these lawsuits don't exist and it's Jenny Mccarthy that is behind it all.

Exactly how many times do you have to be lied to before you figure out that you can't trust them?

If you can't figure it out by now you are dumb beyond belief.

I seriously question the safety of vaccines:
That horror happened before we discovered prions. This whistleblower talks about the cases of autism caused by vaccines

I doubt vaccine manufacturers are risking their profits by researching the downside of their shit. They advertise on TV and payoff the regulators, we are never going to get much of the truth out of them. It might take several generations to get the truth actually, ideas tend to not go away until a generation or two dies off... meanwhile i'm avoiding that shit like the plague it probably is.

Can you imagine what the lawsuits would look like if there was ever evidence found that supported the camp of the anti-vaccine crowd? For that reason alone, I can't believe the subject will ever get a fair review.

My personal belief is that my kids gets his vaccines, but not in the cocktails the doc recommends. He gets them one at a time, over a longer period than suggested. A little body was not designed to take 10 vaccines at once simply because it is cost effective. I don't care if I have to pay more.

Your concerns will be from ignorance of the fact that a babies and children receive massive amounts of mixed immunological challenges every day from thousands of different kinds of bacteria breathed in and from taking food. 10 vaccine shots at once is nothing. They are extremely mild in comparison to many ordinary microbes. A healthy child could safely handle anything up to 100,000 thousand vaccines at once.

Why get science from Jenny Mccarthy when you can get it from some anonymous clown on the internet named Stu?

Don't really give a rat's ass what you think, so you can put your amateur commentary where the sun doesn't shine. My child, my rules.

Have a great day.
