Are the usual suspects going to short some more when it makes another new all time high?
People who have been shorting - I seriously hope it's money you can afford to lose and it's not borrowed money. If you are in denial about losses you should just quit.

not necessarily why would anyone assume it has to happen today, nothing HAS to happen in the market. Timing ironic? what do you mean by that.

Well there was a fairly obvious gap up opening, and at the time of your post, a half an hour after the open, the ES was certainly looking very strong, having shot up from the opening print and looking like it wouldn't fill in that gap. So I figured that you posted what you did after you saw that strength.
try zooming out off your 1minute chart mate. yearly, monthly, daily chart all in clear uptrends. context.
