all I heard during the kiddy debate was tired old republicans who beleive that somehow miraculously the President of the United States can create jobs, which if you think economics is a science you have to be a complete science denier to still believe that is possible

I know where my S&P fund was when Barack Obama took office and where it is now. As far as I can tell he did everything imaginable to insure I lose money, yet....he failed

I think the president can be a figure head and like Reagan did let people know it is not bad to be rich. But no, I don't think there is any policy a president can implement which will make a difference. If we knew how to do that we would have done it long a go.

In name only, though I don't know if that description applies anymore. I have no idea what a Republican is anymore. I know what the left's leadership stands for, but not so much the right's leadership.
