You just have to sit back, stop worrying and learn to love the false piety and guru-like non-answers.
You will never learn by constantly questioning a teacher...at some point you have to have faith and learn...

Define power and then define how that power is greater than self.
Else what is someone actually having faith in? Their imagination?
isn't it more correct to say you have faith in the greatest power? a power so great that it could undo itself?

If it the greatest power, it should possess power to do anything up to and including the power to undo itself.
