It's a difficult question to answer ... and these feelings are consistent across the board for anyone having a bad experience (or series of bad experiences) with another group of human beings.
Tell you what, switch out "black men" with "women of any nationality" and look at some of the threads that you have around here, and there's your answer.
I understand where he is coming from, and we all entertain similar thoughts if we were in the same situation but we also can rationalize and think independently to still look at each person as an individual and not judge them for what a similar person has done. It is one thing to develop a bias which we all get stuck with, it is quite another to nail it down in bold writing and claim it as FACT.
