And the vast health problems were in the high risk group... we could have and should have been protecting the high risk much more directly.
We should have been isolating and protecting them... and letting the low risk group live.
Everyone would have been better off.
Nobody did that and follow that plan.
Instead your team did really stupid shit like shutting down beaches, and outdoor dining and kids playgrounds and schools. Not to mention to the damage done to peoples emotional health and financial well being...
Once again -- as has been proven both scientifically and in-practice -- it is impossible to "protect the high risk" by only locking them down. The ONLY protection is having a low prevalence of COVID in the overall local community. Th proper way to protect the at-risk is to reduce the level of COVID using proper public health practices to a very low level.
