CDC has set the guidelines. Apparently they're not good enough for you because feds....
CDC has guidelines for shutting down and opening back up. Fine. What are they for staying open, specifically? They cannot be the same for all areas as all areas are not impacted in the same fashion. What are manageable numbers when the rise in infected and dead most certainly will happen? Since no gutless politician or other "leader" will say, for all the obvious reasons, cowards, political gamesmanship, etc., etc., I citizen Obvious will put forth some ideas. Two months ago we did not know what was a manageable number. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, gag

, we can say that their knee jerk fear based decisions were off the mark. Okay, fine, people make mistakes, but now we do have some idea of what are manageable numbers. Lets take NYC as the most extreme example. At peak approx. 900 people per day were dying. Did the system collapse as was predicted? No it did not. Conclusion, 900 dead per day is a manageable number, at least for a couple weeks. After that the system may start to break. Other cites had a couple hundred per day. Did their systems meltdown? No, they did not. Conclusion, they can manage those type numbers again if need be. So these peak numbers should be the threshold for closer monitoring. Should they be hit again, it's a flashing yellow, IOW, keep an eye out. Should they slightly exceed it's a flashing red, stop and proceed with caution. Should they blow through like a knife through warm butter, full stop, shut it all down. If that's the case then we must endure the economic hit. It becomes an all hands on deck, nothing else matters, a vaccine is a must have and right quick. Until then, full lockdown. What we cannot, must not do, is panic our way into another shutdown when we now know what are manageable numbers. To do that once we can chalk off to fear and ignorance of the facts. To do it again would be a plan to fail, and that is unacceptable. Why? This is why.
