The Origins of World War III

Quote from jorgez:

Sadly, the beauty and glory of being alive has been reduced to game within which most people are pawns (or prawns)

But never the less, the man who dies owning the most toys wins the game.

that's the problem... Living as in a game... And worst is leaving in a RTS... where the control of resources can become an obsession... Resources that are always changing... and true the "wealth" they generate attract different interests... what a nightmare... the market is much smoother...

And the more efficient you are at the game the bigger your impact... So if you are too efficient it becomes a fundamental problem... you could vacum the "game"...

However I am strongly against your case of dying with lot of toys... It's much better to be born with lot of toys :) toys are for children :D And how could someone win a game, where the game is only in his head aka accumulating the maximum stuff ?

our biggest enemy is ourselves and our leaders who use us as puppets... there will be a war but it will be a war with ourselves. A war for water and resources.... peace

Can you not see the sheer stupidity and absurdity within most peoples lives ... particularly amongst the wealthy

it is striking absurd how the status quo has been able to communicate so effectively a way-of-life that is built upon such shallow and empty foundations. but what really amazes me is how the vast majority of human beings has absolutely fell for it and follow it as a supreme quest to happiness.

:)

What's relevant is humanities experience on Earth.

The Elite's "finish line"? A total power monopoly, on Earth. Then, presumably, the Stars. As far as their technology can project.

As the Elite is more than one I don't see it fit with world monopoly... And as power is hard to share even more for power addicts...:D

There is no end goal for free humanity.

Just boundless potential and time.

ahhhh the dream... :)

Quote from jorgez:

The purpose of a strong middle class is to manage the classes beneath them by edicts laid down by the class above them.

A weak middle class allows the lower classes with nothing to lose to enter into direct conflict with the ruling class.

The middle class is easily controlled, firstly by the granting of favors and then by the issuance of credit.

Greed naturally killed this carefully balanced game when unrestricted credit was issued to the classes with nothing to lose and so "hello 2010"

The emergence of the Middle Class was a compromise made to accommodate the benefits of free markets while not undermining European Kings/Lords.

Free markets create wealth. That wealth creates power, which was essentially managed through the extension of credit. Or, in the old days, the granting of land, favors to the nobility (today's middle class). I agree.

But when the Surfs and Nobility got too uppity, they changed the face of Brittania, didn't they?

Since Corporations took control of America, they sought to abolish the Middle Class. Although originally, they were the engine of wealth creation, the Country was bought long ago with the very money they made. So we're no longer necessary. And we're also a threat.

Which is why "they" have attacked Free Markets with such vengeance. To kill their competition.

Quote from CaptainObvious:

Actually it began earlier than that. The Sykes-Picot Agreement of 1916 gave the Brits and the Frenchies control over the middle east oil at the time. They took the lions share of the profits through the formation of the AIOC and left shit for the Iranians, taking us up to 1953 when the CIA had their little coup. I guess it depends how far you want to go back to look for someone pissing on someone else.
A the end of the day we are a war like universe There will always be some guy, or group of guys that want what someone else has, and are willing to kill his ass to get it.

True.

Can't forget those crazy Ottomans either. They were sitting on a friggin goldmine for centuries!

Also, to be fair, if it weren't the USA toppling regimes over there, it would likely have been someone else. And that someone else would be lording over us right now.

As Asia grows economically, and oil, as a result, gets more expensive, it will start getting real ugly over there. I have been a critic of the neocons and GWB in the past... time may prove otherwise.

that's the problem of the war for the mind... it's illegal in my view. And totally uncompatible with the ideal of a free market. Where it's the products/services that make the trade off and not some kind of virtual mental reality created trough psywar and warpropaganda tacticts... It's just painfull to live in for everyone and distorts wrongly the market... by creating a perception opposed to a reality. Ads should be more informative and less subliminals...

Quote from crash n burn:

you nailed when it comes to middle class role in maintaing the elite power structure.

as long as a middle class exists there will be no change in the status quo as it effectively insulates the power structures from major violent shifts in society as the lowers classes cant get enough traction to disrupt the whole system.

see for instance the example of greece today. as the middle class has been severely burnt by the economic crisis, there are growing pockets of dissent within the greek society that are endangering the status quo.

Not quite.

The Elite already own everything.

What you refer to as the "status quo" was really just a temporary vehicle to consolidate wealth.

That stage is done with.

Now, "they" will destroy the free markets to ensure their competition can't follow them up the Bean Stalk. Controlling seigniorage rights in every major economy gives the Elite unlimited wealth backstopped by Law.

What comes next is global "depopulation". Remember, there are too many people in the world, after all....

Quote from JSSPMK:

Well, what's wrong with that? We've tried the other way for thousands of years & it has always led to conflicts. What I suggested is utopia I agree, I don't support NWO regimes forced down our throats. I am simply saying that if we were 1 society sharing 1 language, 1 religion, etc, then perhaps we would not have conflicts like the ones we had in the past.
