The Opening Orders Thread

Just one quick fill (in front of the students) - got out quick for nearly $200...program is working fine - and now I can get back to my full list and attention.

Awesome Don. How many millions does it require to bank these sort of daily gains?

Hi,

i add a filter when single short o long and when both

today i send only short limit opg

1 fill MO short.

total= 0.15 x shares

bye

4 Fills all Long :D, Could of had most of my order filled cause my spread sheet was messed I found out that my bid on open was 3 cents higher than the close just before the market open, so I had to cancel the rest of my orders after I got filled on 4.
+.15, +.7, +.5, +.04

So I'm still trying to understand how can you tell if you need to sell it right away or let the winner ride? :D
So far if I held my +.15 winner it would of turn ugly. If I would of held my +.7 winner it would of turn into a + .30.

After you're "in" the trade, you treat the shares like any other position. Watch the market, keep an eye on Prem/disc, NYOB, etc.

I use a small (6-8 cent) auto-retrace function to cover half of my shares, and "tape read" for the balance.

No fills today, I reset my spreadsheet and was off by a decimal place (I was a bit late sending in orders)...LOL - gotta keep those decimals in the right place.

Don :)

The strategy you are using here only gets you in with a small edge. Getting out is completely based on your ability to trade and manage risk. Many many people try opening orders then realize that it's no magic bullet. YOU STILL HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO TRADE!
