The Opening Orders Thread

1 short scratch, +11, 2000 shares.

UPS gave a big enough shakeout to convince me to scratch, and then kept going lower. Next time I'm using the US Postal Service.

(I missed the last 2 days of opens while running around doing other things)
 
CVS +$200

I'm doing what I tell my traders not to do...holding an "opinion" that the market is too damn high, and am leary of buying much of anything...New traders: Do what I suggest, not what I do, LOL

This strategy reminds me of when I played right field...most of the time nothing happens...then when it does, I am like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest...+400, using a .5% gap
 
Question about CVS pricing today. Be careful on NYSE website. I think they show consolidated quotes for current day (different opening prices often), and then you can click on "NYSE only" for previous days. Here's today, at top of Montage.

I might as well be using a Ouiji Board because my orders and fills get stranger by the day.

Nothing Done on these two orders:

MAR Long 44.29...I show an open of 43
CVS SS 38.51.. show an open of 38.53

On the other hand, was filled on these names, my buy and sell limits:

BUD 51.66-51.99 Filled at 51.92
HPQ 50.32-50.64 Filled at 50.51
JPM 46.97-47.27 Filled at 47.20
MRK 52.11-52.44 Filled at 52.25

I think you need to take a closer look at your order log because not a single one makes sense. Are you sending these with a TIF of OPG and routed to NYSE?
