The Obvious

Can you please put me on the right path by recommending some good resources? I’ve studied a lot of things… but it seems all of my ideas fail
I think and this is but a guess, yet, if you could express your thoughts and questions, as if you were talking to a 7 y.o kid,

- you would receive more help.

It's 20:00 in here or 8 PM and it's, ,,hard" to dive deep into what you wrote, after the ,,gym'' especially.
The true genius is in making difficult things to look simple/to present and to explain in a simple way.

I’m already well versed in price action I think though. Maybe I need to clearly define my edge and determine risk better. I keep failing and I don’t know what to do to improve
Break it down by asking why?
Why did I take the trade? Why did I exit the trade? If you are honest with yourself you'll figure out what to do to improve.

What is the most profitable way to trade?
As others stated, instead of asking "what's the most profitable way to trade?", you should be asking "what am I doing wrong?"

Your focus should not be on how much you can make, but how much you can lose. As I said earlier, if you can control your losses, everything will take care of itself. That's the whole takeaway from that "Obvious" thread you've mentioned at the outset, no? (If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you need to study risk management before making another trade.)

Having said that, why don't you post a chart or two with your recent trades showing where you entered and exited? Write a short annotation on what made you enter and exit at that particular time. We can then give you more concrete feedback. Other than that, you would be just going around in circle.

When I think of trading against the herd, I’m not even fully sure what that means because it seems like a lot of people are being contrarians in the market.
I dunno what those "experts" might have meant, but other than at the top or the bottom of the trend, you don't want to fade the herds. You want to go with the herd. Only that you don't wanna be the last one in line. So it's safe to assume that you want to swim with the herds but keep a plenty of those who are dumber and slower than you around to dump your positions later.
