Actually it is a myth that most immigrants are the scum of the earth, or "bad hombres". You should Google this for confirmation: By almost every measure the average immigrant to the USA outperforms the average USA citizen. The same applies to the children of immigrants. However, by the 3rd generation the outperformance disappears.
