There is NO claim in any of the testimony that any operative from either party took in absentee ballots and destroyed them. This has already been covered in the hearing and the the conclusion of the investigators is that there is no evidence of any destroyed absentee ballots.

This is about the "harvesting" of ballots where paid party operatives go out and collect & sign absentee ballots for people who are not their family members. By law only close family members can collect and sign absentee ballots. Both parties in the 9th District election performed illegal ballot harvesting. The Democrats harvested 600 ballots and the Republicans 400 ballots.

Your statement above demonstrates that you do not know what the hearing is all about. Your claim has already been debunked by the investigators.

I’m aware of the what the Board is hearing, I am referring to the missing ~11% or ~1500 absentee ballots from Bladen and Robeson counties.

This was hearing was over before it started. It is obvious election fraud was committed and another election has to be held. My concern here is the actual missing ballots.

Furthermore let me explain how ballot harvesting works. Paid operatives from a party target delivering absentee ballots to voters (which is legal) and then later collecting / signing the ballots (which is illegal). The operatives attempt to target potential voters who will vote for the candidates of your party.

Due to this Republican operatives tend to target registered Republicans and Democratic operatives tend to target registered Democrats.

There is also efforts to canvas entire neighborhoods that generally support your party. For example Democratic operatives may canvas traditional minority neighborhoods.

Part of the questioning in the 9th District hearing were questions if the two parties colluded to geographically divide their canvasing (absentee ballot) efforts in Bladen county -- where each party would not "intrude" on the "territory" of the other.

The results of the absentee ballots in the 9th demonstrate that operatives for one party do land the ballots of people who voted for the other party. The ballots were submitted and counted in the election.

The intent of a "harvesting" absentee ballot operation is to collect as many ballots as possible; not to destroy ballots. The operatives are paid for each ballot they harvest -- not for each ballot they discard.

The investigators are from the Wake County District Attorney's office. I outlined earlier that they should be commended for carrying out a very complete investigation with integrity.

These counties are very much aligned with the return rate in N.C. for absentee ballots -- a fact was also outlined in the testimony. This includes the percentage of absentee ballots requested and not returned. As well as the percentage of votes (by party) in absentee ballots aligned with the percentage of votes (by party) performed in person in the 2018 general election. The absentee ballot returns by party in the 2018 general election also aligned with the registered voter demographics of the counties generally.

Now that both candidates and parties are calling for a new election - the NC State Election board stopped testimony mid-day and then voted later in the day to call a new election.

Note that further witnesses will not be called -- which benefits the Democratic party since their operatives from the Democratic ballot harvesting operation were due to be placed on the witness stand later this week.

The next question is if the Republican party will demand a new Republican primary election. The Republican party did not support Harris in the primary; they supported the incumbent for the district, Robert Pittenger.

After Republican Mark Harris has called for a new election in the 9th Congressional District, saying evidence found in a state investigation of alleged fraud in last fall's election has undermined public confidence in the results, the State Board of Elections voted unanimously Thursday afternoon to order one.

No date for the election has been set.
