That's exactly the point. The Hunter case gives the appearance of being an honest judicial proceeding, whereas the Trump case was transparently leftist lawfare. Seven years of investigation to turn bookkeeping fudges into 34 felonies on a "novel legal theory". At the very least they should have changed the venue.

Joe Biden, nor the White House, stated they will commute Hunter Biden's sentence. The White House press secretary refused to answer a stupid question so The Hill ran with a report that Biden is considering commuting Hunter's sentence.
