The home audio thread

Forgot to mention, guy at the range has a Sub LV 50th Anv. He wants $5100 for. I thought that was a strange number, but when I looked it up, am thinking about hitting up savings. This is the CHEAPEST I can find one for: http://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-submariner-green-anniversary-edition-16610v.html
And keep in mind, this is pre-ceramic bezel.:( I actually like the ceramic bezels, but wouldn't keep me from owning this. Didn't think I'd like green, but when I tried it on, changed pretty quick. The markers have a wild glow about them, and the green in the bezel is some kind of a rich, or deep kind of green with a hint of "glow" if you will. (Hard to describe)
Would you pay $4800 for it? Think he may take it being gun buying season* and my throwing out that # last time.

* Gun buying season for most being fall, and winter. For me, the dead of summer is the time to find deals on used.

We'll need to update the thread title to "watch, gun and home audio thread" ha.

Yeah, it's not my thing, would prefer a similar vintage (regular) Sea Dweller, but that's an excellent price. IIRC they were $5500 retail when introduced. I would probably go for a recent ceramic bezel Sub or SD. I don't see the 50th being much of a draw for collectors down the road.

I bought my first submariner for $900.00--- its now worth over $5k-- too bad I sold it a long time ago. I dont like Rolex but they do hold value--

This is "the shit!" for the guys at the ocean. Ti-monocoque case and ceramic that was 40 years ahead of it's time. Indestructible. When you don't want to scratch your DSSD on the reef.

That is a cool watch, but your wrists are way too tiny for that bad boy--- There is a whole Seiko cult in Japan full of fan boys for the brand.

This Linde Werdelin with the attachable "instrument" is the coolest dive watch

Dude, gfy. I am 245 at 6'3" I have shits bigger than you left arm. Fanboys? Fanboys you say? Imagine the Japanese following a major Jap brand. Add the fact that you've never seen the watch before I posted the pic.

LMFAO! relax man, I am just joking with you. I know you are HUGE. yes, correct, that was the first time I saw that watch. I am Not a Seiko fan boy.

By the way, you have 30 pounds on me and are not much taller.... and I am considered FAT.

Fair enough. I have never seen the Linde. I like the watch but the depth/atmos gauge means the watch itself is quartz. It's nice looking, tho.
