I was surprised Gaetz and Boebert flipped before the other four. Thought they’d hold out forever. They’re obviously the most clownish attention-seeking reps. The country is worse off now that the Democrats were unable to make a deal. Sticking with Jeffries was dumb. The August debt ceiling can be turmoil.
Now they can start doing nothing.

McCarthy said MANY times that if he were elected speaker that he would remove Omar, Schiff, and Swalwell from their Committee assignments- at least their current assignments.

Mr. McCarthy clawed his way to victory by cutting a deal that won over a sizable contingent of ultraconservative lawmakers on the 12th and 13th votes earlier in the day, and then wearing down the remaining holdouts in a tense session that dragged on past midnight, ultimately winning with a bare majority, after a spectacle of arm-twisting and rancor on the House floor.
