I agree. Over time his and his aliases nonsense has driven away a lot of people on here. His chat room would probably be just him and Q3D going back and forth about how it's impossible to trade for a living. Would be a room for comedy, but nothing trading wise to talk about.

Guys, we already have the data on this. ET had a chat room for I believe close to a decade. This unicorn theory that it will be full of conversations about your given market or even the market at all is a fantasy. People go there to "get away" from the market. Most of you will be disappointed by just how little market chatter there is.
And two, the benefit of having FX guys and stock guys and oil guys in the same room is so you get "different" perspectives on the market during the little time the market is being talked about. That's why at investment banks you have the fixed income guys chatting with the FX desk and the FX desk chatting with the energy desk and so on.
Here is what I predict. We have one big room, with lots of little rooms that will be empty within a month or so. The big room will be crowded at first because of the novelty and then widdle down to a handful of people chatting about politics and religion like is usually the case. Again, we have 10 years of data on this.

if it wasn't politically incorrect to talk about how the site has strayed from it's objective then it would b possible to solve in a way which produced $$ from both categories of forums. The lack of interest in pursuing that is disappointing.

You are saying that the decrease in real trading discussions on here and the outflow of most of the old members has nothing to do with the ridiculousness of this place and the joke it has become ? ET is a source of entertainment. That's basically it. The idiots/whiners/failed traders have cluttered up this place to an extent where most have left. And yes, your bs on here has definitely added to the migration of good traders out the door. Let's be real here, you have been banned and warned over and over again about your bs. I basically come on here to pm with other guys and look for any interesting articles. I have lost interest in posting on here (outside of commenting on your ridiculousness once in a while) because of the bs.
I am on AOL chat right now with 30 traders (guys who have been in the business for 10+ yrs). I just asked how many are on ET or look at it. 2 guys said they go on to read articles. Zero post. I asked why...answers:
too many losing traders whining how hard the market is
too many blowhards acting like they are big shots
too many know-it-alls
people trying to sell things like failed systems and useless newsletters
not many experienced guys left on there.
