In fairness, Romney had every opportunity to push this and wimped out. Someone got to him and told him it was an important CIA op and that talking about it would risk a big mess.

He and Ryan were totally out of their depth on foreign policy and it showed unfortunately. It's like we had a choice between one party that had some experience but was incompetent and one where they were total rookies and appeared to be even more incompetent. The voters chose experience.

Eleanor Clift stunned the McLaughlin Group panel over the weekend when she shockingly claimed that Ambassador Chris Stevens “was not murdered” in the Benghazi terrorist attacks.

The Daily Beast contributor, in full White House spin control mode, gallingly suggested: “I would like to point out that Ambassador [Chris] Stevens was not murdered. He died of smoke-inhalation in the safe room in that CIA installation.”

This is similar to their conclusion that the shooting at Ft. Hood by a crazed islamist, Maj. Nidal, was "workplace violence" rather than terrorism.
