I'm the one that's discussed this issue in another thread involving which age groups are
not suitable for a particular vaccine and why including explaining my own health history (twice as a youth with Myocarditis and Heart Murmurs) from vaccines...
I was very tall for my age plus putting a lot of unusual cardio stress (I competed on the Jr. National team as a youth).
In those same message posts here at ET...I then stated I had complete physicals and blood chemistry work and the same for my teenagers about 30 days before vaccination and again about 30 days after vaccinations.
- You did in fact post in the same thread and maybe that's why you remember to look up information about Moderna for youths ???
Regardless, due to my medical history that includes a life-threatening coma in 2016 plus my
allergies to a particular component in two vaccines...J&J and AstraZeneca vaccines were flagged by my Doctor to have a high risk of causing a severe side effect or worst...
The Reason for my vaccination with Moderna and my teenagers were vaccinated with Pfizer (not Moderna). As stated several times in different threads, here in Canada...there was an advisory that Moderna was not approved for teenagers.
Just as important just in case someone doesn't watch the advisory about vaccines...the portal registration for vaccination will catch mistakes made by people. For example, when I registered for my vaccination and with my documented medical history input by my doctor...
- J&J and AstraZeneca did not show up as vaccines available to me and Moderna did not show up as a vaccine available to my teenagers along with the fact that I educated my teens about the reason why they can not take the Moderna via explaining to them my medical history with vaccines as a youth.
By the way, as I mention I had Myocarditis twice as a youth after the
Flu vaccination...it was a very mild side effect and not noticeable by me but only picked up in a complete physical that I had to take for Crew (rowing team). My doctor then did not prescribe any medication to treat Myocarditis because he said it would clear up on its own within one month...it did in fact clear up on its own.
Also, fast forward again to 2021, the month after my teenagers' vaccination with Pfizer...the advisory for Moderna here in Canada was changed to being
approved for teenagers.
- Myocarditis is a known problem for +40 years for very active youths as athletes. It's one of the reason why collegiate sports required complete physicals with team doctors that are trained to catch something like that in North America.
Currently, both Canada and the United States do not mandate Moderna for teenagers or small children. You shouldn't be concerned unless you're a teenager or have teenagers with a medical history that shows a problem with any type of vaccination.
