I doubt that the majority of people or companies switch to Linux because they hate $soft ..... I dont especially like many of the vendors I have dealt with over the years but in my fiduciary role for the company I make choices on the best value and least risk for the investors.

$soft fails on these counts for our operations. Its that simple: price and risk.

Whether I like them is irrelevant ... However, their vague public threats dont help: bad behaviour towards customers, partners, competitors, and yes, even entire countrys.
