Seems to be there in all sports broadcasts. It's like (1) the worst thing is to have a few seconds of "dead" air time where the sport itself is the focus, and (2) somebody believes the commentary is more important than the event.

I find myself watching some events with the TV on mute, because I'm so annoyed by the commentators and experts.

FS1 did a much better job. Can't remember the announcers' names, but they seemed much more sensitive about not talking during important pitches, and spent less time on history and more on the current situations. I believe different stations also use different mix levels, which would be a big factor.

(Interesting note; I could have sworn I saw someone in the Dodger's dugout holding a plush stuffed goat the last night that the Dodgers won. Perhaps that was a bad idea for them....

Yeah, it's too bad. No doubt a disgruntled Cleveland fan.

Chapman, unless I'm mistaken, has the record for the fastest pitch thrown in MLB at 106. If I had any complaint about Chapman, it would be that he should have been heading to first a little sooner in that great stop by Rizzo (forget which inning)...if I had a complaint. I love watching this guy pitch.
 
Game 6 tonight. My wife's not a big baseball fan, but she likes pizza (Papa Murphy's, to be exact...me too!) I promised her a pizza if there's a game 7, to be consumed during that game. She now has a stake in tonight's game and therefore a reason to watch with me! (My guess is she'll still fall asleep in her chair...it is a really comfortable chair.:)). Nonetheless, a conditional promise has been made. GO CUBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
