Well there is this one statistic that says that no 100+ win baseball team has ever won the WS. Not one. I have theory though:The Cubs are the undisputed best team in baseball this year. More often than not the best team doesn't win the world series because, as you have stated, anything can happen in a short series. I'm not a Cubs fan but I would like to see them win it this year. The city will go nuts. If they don't, keep those Cub fans away from sharp objects and if they lose it because of some fluke play or crazy call there may be blood. The curse of the goat won't go away easily.

It's one thing to talk about what's happening now, but the entire history of the guy at bat between pitches, COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!It used to be so bad that people in Chicago turned off the TV sound, watched the game on TV but listened to the game from the local radio announcers.Bob Costas was the announcer. He knows his history, but a little less talk during the game would be greatly appreciated. Almost turned off the game it was so annoying. It totally robs the enjoyment of it.
...listened to the game from the local radio announcers...
Still do!!!
