I hope to be able to continue here, you guys are like family. Occasionally dysfunctional lol, but fellow traders.
Baron, in the interest of public safety I urge you to adopt a policy re covid posting similar to other social media platforms.
I cannot financially nor in good conscience support a venue that permits posting related to covid that disagrees with CDC/NIH/US govt policies. I am confident other responsible sponsors agree.
If you will not ban covid misinformation on your forum than discontinue my sponsorship immediately.
Or, do the right thing. The industry watches.
Advertisers dictating media policy? I’m sure you didn’t think that one through. In any case, you have provided anecdotal evidence of what is driving media policy in the US today. The lack of an open forum where different ideas can be debated will reduce the accountability of advertisers, the media, and our representatives. This will lead to reduced quality of services or political leadership, ultimately adversely affecting us all.
It is fundamental that all views allowed to be presented, except in case of obvious fraud or obvious attempt to harm, be allowed to be debated, and an interested audience allowed to make their own conclusions on what is real.
We are in the age of sophisticated marketing techniques that often involve false flags to discredit an opposing side, paid posters, and misleading use of statistics to sell an idea or product. As such, viewers should be and must be the final arbiters, not someone or an entity that by nature has a conflict of interest.
I hope ET does not go down the slippery path of censorship.
By the way, Calhoun, what points do you consider misinformation and does this misinformation rise to the level where censorship is justified in order to potentially “Save humanity”?
Please answer the above question and prepare to engage in a debate instead of seemingly trying to “Puss out” again.
