Did Obama nominate Garland in an election year? Would he have been approved had Republicans not held the Senate? Yep. On both accounts.

Unless you're going to tell me the Democrats would not have approved Garland had they had control of the senate.

They should say they will add 2 justices to make up for the hypocrisy. I don’t agree with that idea, but I think the non-answer is worse.
