Much better than Bush.He wouldn't have turned a 200 billion dollar surplus into a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit. He wouldn't have invaded Iraq.

Or condoned water boarding. Or have the legislation for the Patriot Act seemingly “Warmed up and ready to go” when the first plane hit. Or have his administration connected with Enron. Or have Dick Chaney’s conflict-of-interest Texas prison contracts. Or have Halliburton’s lucrative Iraq contracts in which Dick Cheney was a board member of. Or allow the appointment of Bill Barr and the resultant “Cesspool” of legal maneuvers that let many corrupt politicians escape full justice.

Odds are, Al would have had his own band of players, along with their own issues.

No Administration is perfect, but we can hope they will be responsive to the big issues facing us all.

US House members and US Senators do not make state laws.

The point is, truckers had to pass TN scales, were stopped for inspections, and taken advantage of by TN state law enforcement. Al Gore was either a part of that, directly, or indirectly, even if through negligence, and it would have been likely Al’s leadership, or the lack thereof, would have carried over into the Presidency. Knowing the results of the Bush Presidency, however, and turning back the hands of time, I would be inclined to support Al.

They have no official power over state law.Thats what state senators are for.

“You vote for my Federal funded state infrastructure project, and I’ll vote for yours”. Truckers in TN were effected by both federal and state regulations, Al’s overall roll or responsibility in the TN inspection scam is not known by me. TN is the beneficiary of Truck emissions testing at scales on interstate highways. Sounds like Al Gore influenced legislation, but I don’t know for sure.

Al does have significant financial interests in environmental companies creating possible conflicts of interest as a Senator voting on environmental related legislation at the time.

A US Senator and Vice President would have been a bad President because his home state has state trucking laws you don't like.I have no idea why I am ever entertaining this nonsense.Good night.
