The Biden COVID vaccine

None of this shit matters. Even if every single person in this country is vaccinated, we will still have to wear masks, and there will be lockdowns. For the children...Because there will be some new development with the virus that will prove that we are not immune, and must always take precautions. If ever there was a Cabal, then I call Fauci the head of it.

Fauci is the bellwether of nanny-state mentality. I am really the hell sick and tired of Fauci and the CDC. Cocksucker. Who is paying him for his anti-social tropism?

What's the efficacy on this one? Seem to recall rather low? 65% maybe?

"Developed by J&J’s vaccines division, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, it was shown to be 66% protective against moderate to severe Covid infection in a multi-country study. Importantly, it was 85% effective in protecting against severe disease."

If this rate keeps up then it is likely that all adult Americans who want the vaccine will have at least one dose within Biden's first 100 days or so.

Welp, he's got 50 days left to do it, and as far as I can tell, people in my circle can't get the vaccine until late spring. Because we do not fit the "high-risk" profile.

In North Carolina we follow the Federal Guidelines for COVID vaccinations -- which are:
Phase 1a - Medical Workers
Phase 1b - Over 75
Phase 2 - Over 65
Phase 3 - Teachers and Essential Workers (underway)
Phase 4 - All people with high risk medical issues (starts March 24th)
Phase 5 - Everyone else

We are deep into Phase 3 already. Phase 4 starts on March 24th and in most N.C. counties you can also pre-register for your Phase 4 appointment. I expect we will be starting Phase 5 in our state before 50 more days go by.

Alaska has already starting Phase 5.

All I want to know is why Florida which is double our N.C. population and received double our shots is still stuck on over 65 people and has no written state vaccination plan. I guess that is the difference between being in the top half of vaccination rankings versus being in the lower half like Florida.

As a follow-up I should note that North Carolina is about to move the Group 4 start to sooner than March 24th since we are making excellent progress.

I will also note that we are one of only 13 states who have not started vaccinations of people with pre-existing conditions yet. This means that 37 states in the U.S. are into Group 4 currently and most will open Group 5 (everyone) shortly. In view of this it is likely that nearly everyone who wants the COVID vaccine in the U.S. will get their first dose in the next 50 days.
