However, I admit a thought that I may be wrong.
I think it's good that you recognize this possibility.
(Though of course, what I think is of no consequence.) For everything you wrote are products of
your creation. That's why I don't put the Bible and religions in the same category. Buddhism was the product of Siddhartha Gautama. Islam was the product of the Prophet Abu al-Qasim Muhammad. On the other hand, the Bible was produced by approximately 40
different authors over a span of about 1500 to 1600 years. Yet, it all fits together as one cohesive narrative.
On top of this, the Scriptures were validated by God Himself, in the flesh, Yeshua Hamashiach, God the Son. As He Himself told the Jewish leaders of His day,
"You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life." So then, those writings all
foretold the coming of the Messiah.
But, perhaps Jesus wasn't real...except that virtually all scholars of antiquity agree that a historical human Jesus existed, not to mention the witness of non-Christian historians. For example, Josephus, the Jewish-Roman historian, was a principal witness. Mara bar Serapion, a Stoic philosopher, writes of "the wise king" of the Jews who was put to death. The Roman historians Tacitus and Suetonius, both hostile to Christianity, mention the followers of Christ. The Jewish Talmud condemns Yeshu of Nazareth as a sorcerer and blasphemer.
(Why a sorcerer? Because He performed miracles. Also, in Babylonian Sanhedrin107b it is claimed that Jesus practiced magic. In tHul2:22-23 it is reported that healings were done in the name of Jesus.)
Other mentions appear in Pliny the Younger's correspondence with Hadrian, Thallus, Phlegon of Tralles, Philo of Alexandria, and Celsus, a bitter opponent of Christianity. And I could go on and on as to what architectural, historical, scientific and textual evidence suggests it would be a mistake to dismiss the Bible as pure propaganda. But, I know better. For the Bible itself teaches that...
...those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God...and no one is able to come to Christ unless the Father, the One who sent Him, draws them...for even if the Gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age [the devil] has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
So, rather than argue with anyone in an attempt to
convince them of the Bible's credence, I simply pray that those who are truly seeking the truth would have their eyes/minds opened.
