I've heard people reject Scripture for the above reason. But in my experience, the Bible is, as has been quoted by many, God's divine road map for us, pointing us along the optimum and (sometimes) safest routes, (often, but not always) leading us along scenic byways, showing us obstacles to avoid (or overcome), and warning us against wrong turns, detours, dead ends and dangers along the way.
(Words in parentheses added by me.)
It is as relevant today as it has ever been, His big instruction book (Owner's manual) providing the guidance we need to make life work. So, when I hear a sermon that strikes a certain chord in me, I'd like to be able to return to it again and again, and at some point, even summarize its essence in writing in order to commit it to my spirit, or to share with others for whom I'm given the responsibility of imparting spiritual knowledge or wisdom.
I therefore hope to embed such sermons here, and begin synthesizing their messages as I have opportunity, starting with this one from Pastor Mark Driscoll. (The sermon starts about ten minutes into the video.)
