The Bern Identity

Everyone on here is aware of your inclination to give the state complete control over everything while at the same time referring to yourself as a libertarian. You are beyond biased. You are a nut.
I suppose each has his inclinations. Yours seems to be to overstate.

This reminds me of that Will Rogers quip. (One of my favorites)

This election was lost four and six years ago, not this year. They [Republicans] didn’t start thinking of the old common fellow till just as they started out on the election tour. The money was all appropriated for the top in the hopes that it would trickle down to the needy. Mr. Hoover was an engineer. He knew that water trickles down. Put it uphill and let it go and it will reach the driest little spot. But he didn’t know that money trickled up. Give it to the people at the bottom and the people at the top will have it before night, anyhow. But it will at least have passed through the poor fellows hands. They saved the big banks, but the little ones went up the flue. -- Will Rogers, ca 1932, St. Petersburg Times
wealth can't trickle up or down until it is created

one side wants to create
the other side wants do divide up what has been created

and if they are progressive, they are already thinking about how they will divide wealth in the future

I saw that Trump is taking credit for clinton falling in the polls and states he will take bernie apart when needed.

I believe he will.

The old America is Europe debate.

Norway, Sweden and Denmark - tiny, resource rich, and, as of last year, culturally homogeneous. Germany? Germany is the China of Europe. Germany has forced the deindustrialization of the European periphery for their benefit.

America is neither tiny, resource rich (relative to it's population), culturally homogeneous or an export powerhouse. The culture of self-reliance and independence that existed when generous welfare programs were introduced don't exist anymore. Americans are no longer ashamed or reluctant to take a handout. Nowadays, its a badge of honor to collect welfare and abuse the system.

We can play these mind games all day. The national debt is nearly 20 Trillion. America doesn't have the money to pay for all this free shit.

O'Reilly is right. Corporations flee excessive taxation.

Bernie's 'free-everything' plan taxes the snot out of Corporations and HNW individuals, who clue in and vote with their feet.

Think of the transaction tax Liberals plan to rake in billions with. Historically, trading volumes are decimated in products taxed with an FTT. Unintended consequences eh

Perhaps electricity is the only thing he hasn't yet proposed should be "free", but this is hilarious. There was a guy in lucedale Mississippi that claimed to have invented a machine that ran off the local power company's electricity but nevertheless produced more electricity than it used. His name was newman (I think). This reminded me of Newman.
