Mexico, Brazil, Russia. Are these first world countries? You may say no, but defining a first world country is subjective. I would also add that The Phillipines can be considered first world and they are well above The US murder rate. The US is 89th on the list.

The US is 89th on the list of all countries. Trying to twist this by just comparing the US to a filtered list is disingenuous. We just don't have a high murder rate-----albeit even one murder is way too many.
