Today was interesting to say the least. Several of you participated in the Zoom call, and the exchanges were very civil. This is the great part of what we can do to encourage each other. Des and I are at peace, and he graciously paid the $1,000. I should work harder to be an encourager rather than a hindrance. Hopefully today was a good example of us working to promote the common good.

You caught the perfect storm and were backspread bare minimum 1.6 to 1 with strikes 2 percent wide..

For clarification, the new partnership account is down a bit of realized money on the year. The other account that traded the same way is up 208% on the year. The little correction in February and March 2020 proved that the diagonal version of the hedge would work. I thought it would from my modeling, but until you see it in real life you sometimes have doubts.
The first plunge popped it up to 117%. Then I got out of all the hedges and put a few back on, and that's when the account went up to 208%. Interestingly, I never had an opportunity to get filled on any of my replacement long puts, so everything was entered in a diagonal manner.
