I take it they don't need the trusted third party and can be transfered peer to peer. (I hold USDT in my wallet and can transfer them to you without going through a bank)
The only drawback is they are tied to the dollar which is controlled by governments.
I would think if I were worried about the value of my country's currency, stable coin would be a better option than bitcoin, especially during a crypto winter.

I thought you like cash, this is the same as holding US $ but you control 24/7/365 no bank hours or holidays or bank has control over it every time you make a big transaction you worry if the bank may ask for documentation or if you offend your government they can ask the bank to freeze it like the Emergency Act

The worry with Tether is that it's issued by a centralized company Tether Company that everyone says does not have the backing of 65 Billions USDT 1-to-1 with US $ but that's been around for a long time
In Turkey and other places, you can use Tether to buy groceries in the markets
