The 15 minute chart

Do you use a different time frame to trade the open or do you consider the pre-open action as part of your setup.

Can't imagine you would give up the first hour of trading with only four bars to look at.

Quote from golablue:

Everyday is different, Thunderdog.

All stops based on volatility. Initially, never more than 8 ticks. Always trailing market, too.

When volalility is low, I get 2-3 trades. On days when it's high, I can get as many as 6 or so.

I agree weeman, the 30 minute is even better.

Just follow the market, no thinking.

15 minute chart only.
I use the all sessions chart. The "first hour" of day begins at 3:30 CST.

Using multiple timeframes is the only way to consistent profits. In some markets the 15 will be suitable, in others you may need to use a 5min chart. I agree that a 15 is great for filtering out the noise but I have the most success when I am able to identify trades on the daily or 60min and use the 5min and 15min to time in. Using multiple timeframes is very important

Multiple timeframes are great, if that works for you. Whatever helps you get reasonable risk is all that matters.

I prefer to give your wife a 30 min bar, she feels 15 is inadequate for her needs.

lol

I prefer to offer the old Fibonacci treatment when asked.

Try 13 minutes. You will be 2 minutes ahead of the 15 minutes crowd.

Also 13 is prime. 15 is not.

13 is the smallest integer with eight letters in its spelled out name in English.

It is also the age at which children officially become teenagers.

There were thirteen participants at the Last Supper.

Quote from stock777:

All us 15 minute boys have the same trades.

We buy at the lows of the day and sell at the highs.

No need to even ask.
LOL:D
There sure are tons of master traders around these parts eh stock?
